Hiral Babla
Hiral is a tax and compliance professional with seven years of practical experience in accounting, audit, taxation, and advisory services, gained across both corporate and non-profit oriented organizations. She currently serves as an Assistant Manager, Tax & Compliance at Baker Tilly Tanzania, where she plays a key role in managing tax advisory and compliance engagements for a diverse client portfolio.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from Middlesex University, Mauritius and is a Chartered Certified Accountant, qualified through the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA – UK). In addition, she holds a Diploma in Business Management awarded by the Association of Business Executives (ABE – UK), providing her with a strong foundation in both technical accounting and business administration.
Since joining Baker Tilly Tanzania in 2018 as an intern within the accounts and audit departments, Hiral has progressively advanced within the firm and currently operates within the tax practice. Her career development reflects broad-based exposure to accounting, audit, tax consultancy, and regulatory compliance, complemented by strong teamwork, client service, and leadership capabilities.
Hiral has extensive industry experience spanning financial services, manufacturing, transportation, general trading, construction and infrastructure. Her responsibilities include supervising and planning tax and compliance assignments, reviewing financial statements and tax computations to ensure compliance with Tanzanian tax laws, and representing clients before the Tanzania Revenue Authority. She regularly manages and advises clients operating in sectors such as engineering, construction, trading, mining, healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, and financial institutions.
